●File Fish in July
File fish has came to be delivered from Japan. It is the fish which has delicious liver in it. I think it the best way to enjoy thin sliced sashimi with liver pondzu or simmered one. But, I think that there is the day when delivery can not be made due to bad weather or fishing gournd. Please refer willingly.　Chef

●Shoukado Bento
When lunch meeting needed to invite special guests to have a higher-grade lunch, and want to make a reservation in order to avoid inconvenience.
In such case, please use it by all means. Other than simmered fish, a grilled fish, and appetizer, also homemade ARA soup took the soup stock from the ara of various fish, are available in Shoukado Bento at $30.00/person. Reservations of the lunches are not taken usually, but we take a reservation only for one ordered this Shoukado Bento lunch.

●The Star Festival
July 6 (Sun)
I prepare liquor in accord with hors d'oeuvres and it which is beautiful which were associated with the Star Festival. In fun.

●VOG
It is a compound of words Volcano and Smog, used only in Hawaii. Volcano ashes are carried by the Kona wind from the big island in this term and dance on Oahu. Even if it is fine; cloudy sky likes the rainy season. I have itchy in my throat and eyes. One of my guests teaches me that ashes stay for a long time on Oahu due to weak wind this year. I was surprised to know that there is such a thing in paradise.

Supposed the flower, given by one of our guests, lily, but, another guest taught me it is Amaryllis. We really thank our guests for displaying flowers all the time.

Hakkei Oshizushi is made of rice mixed with shiso-leaves and sesame.

●Cherry Blossoms
A couple of days ago, one of our guests gave us about dozen of cherry branches, which have a lot of buds, some have moss on them and are so beautiful. We put them at the entrance for decoration. Because　they can have good sun-light in the entrance, some have begun to bloom in this morning. This week is in full bloom. Please come by way of cherry-blossom viewing

●Whale
When I called Hakkei, Yubara the day before yesterday, they said they had been having snow. Although it gets suddenly more like spring when March begins, we still have snowy news at the end of February
I ask a local person the topic of Hawaiian about March, when it is reported when a whale and a ship collided in news, they do not feel it spring but seem to feel it is in the whale season.

●Santa Claus
I was surprised to learn that red cap, red cloths, and white mustache were made by Advertising Department of Coca Cola Company in order to expand sales of Coca Cola. I did not know it at all and believed that there was the image of Santa from old days.

●Cherry Blossom
"Kawamura-san! I came back from Japan in this morning" an excited German came into Hakkei speaking Japanese," I brought back a rare Sake, would you like to drink it with me on Monday night at 9:30? " I replied " Yes! " He continued "The cherry blossoms were so beautiful, I walked from Yotsuya to Mitsuke, I had not seen Cherry blossoms in ages, it has been over 20 years. I love cherry blossoms "
He taught English and learned Japanese for 3years in Tokyo, he read Manyoushu and Tusrezuregusa, and knows Tokyo very well. Although he has German hair, nose, and eyes, he drinks Sake while eating Oden and Tsukemono and behaves like he is Japanese. I have found the cherry blossom blizzard dances in his heart as well. Letﾕs taste his rare sake with him on Monday night.
