Hakkei is an onsen ryokan (hot spring inn) located in the town
of Yubara,
Okayama Prefecture (Japan). Our inn is famous for its delectable
menu items
that feature 50 regional vegetables from nearby farms.
National Japanese newspapers and travel agencies have scored
our food a perfect five stars.
We will be opening a quaint, but relaxing restaurant featuring
Japanese comfort-food in Honolulu.
Under the close tutelage of Chef Masahara, an apprentice has
inherited his unique flavoring skills.
Using his inherited skills, this apprentice will ensure the
quality and flavor of our restaurant.
Hakkei's own Executive Chef Masahara participated in the popular
television program "Iron Chef "
and challenged Chef Morimoto. The main ingredient was Angler
fish, and
Chef Masahara won in a score of 4 to 0.
There are many that come to our resort to taste his cooking.
Using local Hawaii ingredients,
we would like visitors to taste our healthy Japanese dishes
prepared with much care.
We would like you to feel as if you were visiting a friendユs
home in Japan for a meal.
In Japan, children are instructed by parents to say,
Gochisousama!モ after a meal, to give thanks to the person who
cooked it.
As adults, Japanese people say it out loud at a dining establishment
after a satisfying meal.
Hearing, Gochisousama! and seeing the satisfied faces of visitors
is our goal at Hakkei. |
